Occasionally I return to older images after software updates and reprocess the RAW files. This time Adobe Photoshop Lightroom had been updated twice, and HDR Software's Photomatix had been updated several times. Sometimes this makes both the software and the image "better" (I hope). More often than not I end up tweaking another dozen images along the way perusing through my photographic catalogs. Most files just need minor adjustments, or as in this case, a horse photo that I overlooked entirely. She had a wild eye for me. I added this one and several others to the Iceland Galleries.

A wonderful start for 2008. My Iceland travel story was just published in the JOURNAL OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPHERS. Here is the link to the full story on the IAPP web site. If that fails to load, here is the PDF on my server.
I was looking for another image and stumbled on five images that I had not stitched from the Iceland trip. It is now in the Iceland Travel Gallery. I call it YELLOW CONTEMPLATING BLUE (the tourist in the yellow hood is staring at the blue berg bit). A nice discovery for me and him.
Speaking of discoveries, my Iceland travel pal, is now in Fairbanks, Alaska heading north. Steve Ginn writes about it here. Steve has now been to Antarctica (almost 66 degrees south), to Iceland (above 66 degees north) and now to Alaska, and above the 67th latitude. All in one year. Having done 2/3rds of that with him, it is a huge effort. I expect to see a lot of great images from him this winter.
This panorama is 14,391 x 10,806 pixels and was created from 12 hand held images with my Canon 1Ds Mark II, 70-200mm f/4 IS (at 70mm) on June 28, 2007.
Today I uploaded all of the "travel photos" (food, road shots, story telling images) along with the hopefully, excellent printable images. They can all be found here:
